Flawless Victory for Surdus

Surdus played a Halloween gig at Smugglers last weekend and not only did they sound brutal- they looked brutal too!

Scorpion (Alec Larsen) on lead guitar and backing vocals, Sub-Zero (Simon Werner) on bass and backing vocals, and Kano (Shane Jackson) on vocals- they tore up the stage in true Mortal Kombat style.

With a pinch of melody, a splash of groove and a handful of death, Surdus have the perfect concoction for a metal band.

Surdus have however been on the scene a few years now –originally forming in 2012- but having suffered a minor set back earlier this year with losing two members to Cape Town, they didn’t gig for a while. The good news is they are back and are ready to melt faces.

You can catch Surdus at The Dark Unveiling on 14 November at the Wunderbar German Club- unfortunately they won’t be donning the MK gear- but who knows what tricks they might have up their sleeves in future. Watch this space- watch this band.
